Earlier this week, Xiaomi launched Mi MIX 4 and Mi Pad 5 series. There are two Mi Pad 5 devices: Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro. Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 5 will compete with Samsung tablets, while its Pro model faces off against entry-level iPads. In this post, we’ll look at the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro in Nepal.

Display and Design

Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro both have an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with a WAHD+ resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a sampling rate of up to 240Hz. Additionally, HDR10 and Dolby Vision are supported.

Its design is similar to the recently launched Apple iPad Pro M1 (2021). While both devices are 254.69 x 166.25 x 6.85 mm, the Pro model (515g) is slightly heavier than the vanilla model (511g). For the color: black and white color option is also available, while the vanilla model includes additional Green color options.

Camera

The Mi Pad 5 features a 13MP rear-facing camera, and the Pro Wi-Fi model features a 5MP depth sensor as well. The Pro 5G model features a 50MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor.

It has an 8MP front-facing camera. The rear camera of the phone can record 4K videos, but the front camera can only record 1080p videos.

Performance and Memory

The vanilla Mi Pad 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 860 chipset, whereas the pro model is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset. The Mi Pad 5 series is a powerful Android tablet if you are looking for one. However, they are not even close to the M1-powered iPad Pro.

Each device comes with 6GB of LPDDR5x RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1-based internal storage. As well as the 8/256GB model, the Mi Pad 5 Pro got 8GB. These tablets run MIUI 12.5 with Android 11 OS.

Other Specs

Mi Pad 5 comes with a big 8720mAh battery with 33W fast charging, while the Mi Pad Pro has a slightly smaller 8600mAh battery. In this case, the Pro model supports 67W fast charging, while the vanilla model only supports 33W.

An external keyboard and stylus are supported on these tablets. The vanilla model has four speakers, while the pro model has eight speakers in total.
